The thing I really like about the cable-stayed bridge is that the design Stephen Grover presented is all in triangles. The bridge itself would be triangular (because the cables wouldn't go all the way across and so the center median would gradually decrease in size) and all the lines would end up being triangular. This bridge will be in basically the heart of the "Triangle" so I think it could go a long way towards being a "signature bridge" that people were talking about at the first meeting.
